Sad Damsel - SOLD
The larger more colorful archetype heads are made by drying textured tar on a black square of wood, splashing with colorful acrylics, then burning through with a wood burning tool. Leaving the gnarled edges of the burned image, I coat the piece with epoxy leaving a ceramic looking feel to the glossy surface. The wood edge is painted black, but you could frame them in a canvas floating frame for more drama. Wired on the back and ready to hang or lean in a shelf display. They look really great when grouped together.
Tar & Acrylics on wood - 13” x 13” x .75”
